Las Vegas Golf Course

Las Vegas golf course is a major attraction for people visiting Las Vegas, Nevada. A million visitors will play at one of the courses listed here in Vegas this year. It can get crowded on most of the golf courses. If you do not make reservations in advance, you might not get to play on the golf course of your choice, at the time you want. I hear complaints all the time from people who do not even get to play.

Insider Secret - Course managers vie for your business with special packages and lowered green fees available during mid-week.

Over 25 Las Vegas golf courses alone have been built since 1998. There seems to be no limit to the demand for top-quality, championship courses. Realize that 18 of the 75 largest Las Vegas golf courses are also private. If you want golf to be a major part of your vacation, you will need to book in advance as far as you can. You never know if the Las Vegas course you want is having a tournament and might be unavailable for the days you want. In which case you might want to reschedule your trip, or find another course.

Golf Tournaments are a big part of Las Vegas sporting events now days. Try to get in one and make your whole vacation revolve around a fine golf tournament. Then eat at one of our world class restaurants and gamble afterwards. You will cherish the memory for life.

Whatever direction you travel in the Las Vegas valley now, you will find at least one major golf course. The best known courses will be the most crowded. But it can still be worth it for those who want a grand experience golfing in the desert. You may be parking far from the golf club, so use the valet and save time. Some courses will bring your 70 pounds of equipment right onto the golfing area; make sure you ask.

Don't underestimate the prices associated at some of the fancier golf clubs. Shadow Creek Golf Club for instance charges over $500 per green fee. During the busy season or on weekends the top championship golf clubs will often charge the same. The Paiute Golf Resort, "Badlands", and the Callaway Golf Center are worth checking out. If money is an issue we can get you in cheaper; check out some of the resources on this page.

It was not always this way. At one time the Las Vegas golf course was little more than a high-end perk for mega-celebrities like Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr. That's when courses remained for the most part off limits to the public. Like the ugly duckling they returned transformed. Vegas courses are now show pieces, like the elite "Wynn Golf Club at Wynn". With its waterfalls, running rivers and stunning vistas it is hard to believe you are in Vegas, in the middle of the Strip much less. Nothing but the monorail quietly zipping by to remind you.

There are even special places that few know about or ever get the chance to golf on. For instance, Shadow Creek in North Las Vegas, owned by MGM properties, is available only to select MGM gamblers and insider celebrities. With Las Vegas golf standing at the pinnacle of its game, golfers also stand to benefit from the increased competition as the course managers vie for your business with special packages and lowered green fees available during mid-week.
