Wynn Las Vegas Golf Course
Wynn Las Vegas golf course is a very exciting golf right on the Strip. It shows what an impressive golfing town Vegas has become. There are 2 golf courses on the Strip, both have world class golfing, both are expensive. The other course is at the end of the Strip. It's called the Bali Hai Golf Club. Of course if you want to get away from the Strip, there are "top Las Vegas golf courses" in every direction, about a 35 minute drive either way. You will need 2 things to golf at the Wynn. First you must be a guest, or a friend of a guest. Next, you will pay for the privilege of golfing here. It's no secret that Wynn prefers high-rollers to everyday strollers. High rollers are more apt to be comped, and roaming the greens. But if you decide to play here you will find the caddies are very helpful as you work this 18-hole track. More golfers dream of playing here than anywhere else.
Photo from the Country Club Grill at the Wynn Las Vegas Golf Course of the 18th hole on the Wynn Las Vegas Golf Course with its giant waterfall, rivers and lake. The sun is setting behind me, blocked by the Wynn Hotel. Great hideaway place to have a cool drink at the end of a long day. The Wynn Las Vegas golf course is a par-70 with slope rating of 124. It's 18 holes and covers 138 acres. Over 7,000 yards from tip to tip providing over a mile wide vista from the hotel. 11 holes have water while more than 800,000 cubic yards of dirt was moved around to create elevation changes. Wynn uses PennLinks Bentgrass greens and Tifway II Hybrid Bermuda to cover the fairways and tees. The 6,000 trees came from North Carolina. It's a gorgeous eyeful. The Wynn Las Vegas golf course is Steve Wynn's second golf course built with Tom Fazio, ASGCA. Both courses have waterfalls, rivers, rocks and loads of trees. The Wynn Golf Course was completed in 2005. The other Shadow Creek Golf Course, was built in 1989 when Steve owned the Mirage.
Here is a photo of one of Wynn's many award-winning restaurants where you can eat after you play on the Wynn Las Vegas golf course. Note the unusual marriage of nature and luxury as plants and flower motifs are found throughout the hotel.
"Steve Wynn" has tournaments that are unique, televised and payout sums that are greater than the U.S. Open, The Masters, The British Open or the PGA Tournament. The tournament was "The Ultimate Game at Wynn Las Vegas," and the payout was $2 million dollars. The entry fee was $50,000 per golfer! Don't forget to visit the friendly culinary solid restaurant that resides next to the 18th hole. It's call the Country Club Grill and it serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. It's a great place to go for a drink and one of the "hideaways of Vegas." I like to sit on the patio at the end of a hot day and sip a really cool drink and watch the swallows dive over the fairways.
Photo was made from the Wynn Towers showing hole 18 on the Wynn Las Vegas Golf Course. I would play here everyday if I could. It is hard to believe you are on the Strip in Las Vegas. More golfers want to play this course than any other in Vegas.
There are lots of other restaurants at the Wynn like Alex, Bartolotta Ristorante di Mare, Daniel Boulud Brasserie, SW Steakhouse, The Buffet featuring 16 live-action cooking stations, Zoozacrackers and The Terrace Point Café. These eating places accommodate every pocketbook, and I guarantee you the food at the Wynn is the best. There are more famous chefs working here than anywhere else. Steve Wynn is one of the last of the independent casino owners; the other is Sheldon Addelson, owner of the Venetian. Going to their casinos is a less corporate more personal experience, as they try to wow you like they would like to be wowed. Brand names from Ferrari to Channel are available at Wynn. For the most elite golfing on the Strip try Wynn Las Vegas golf course.
