Our experience staying at the Flamingo was excellent. From the enthusiastic bell person to the room service they were eager to please. There is plenty of friendly, well-trained staff. Rooms are large and clean. They often have overstuffed Flamingo pink chairs. Cute.

There's a sense of free for all here. The slots are loose. The poker's noisy and played in the middle of the casino. Drinks seem to come on conveyor belts. For the sports minded, there's a Race and Sports Book with 100 seats. Only a third of what the Hilton sports book has to offer. But people come to the Flamingo for action and they get it. Comedy is king here with George Wallace and Second City Comedy. These are first rate entertainers. You can't go wrong with these acts. Tickets can be hard to get. They also have R&B singer Tony Braxton: great talent, well-produced show. Feeling a little raunchy? Get your body over to X Burlesque. The name says it all.

We like Steakhouse 46; it's lively inside and you won't spend a fortune. The buffet is called Paradise Garden and it has a great view of the courtyard. We recommend the seafood. For one of the swinging times in Vegas we go to Margaritaville with our friends and watch the beautiful girls come down from the ceiling and swim around in the giant Margarita glass.
