Planet Hollywood Las Vegas, formerly the Aladdin Hotel, has had a make-over and competes with nearby hotels for guests, diners, shoppers and gamblers. The look is a blend of Las Vegas glitz and Hollywood glamour. PH, as it's known, spent $120 million renovating and removing the previous middle-Eastern theme for a new sleek look.

Insider Secret - The Miracle Mile mall is extensive with 170 shops and over a dozen restaurants. Dine at one of the few outdoor patios on the Strip at either Trader Vic's or the Hawaiian Tropic Zone with heaters in the winter and misters in the summer.

It is centrally located on the Strip next door to the Paris Hotel and across the street from the Bellagio. You couldn't find a better location in Las Vegas. Hotels like Bally's, Caesar's Palace and the Flamingo to the north are within easy walking distance. To the south, you can walk to the Monte Carlo Hotel and the MGM Grand. PH has a new driveway on Harmon so you can enter the self-park or the valet park off the Strip.

Planet Hollywood Las Vegas also boasts a brand new entrance to the casino on the Strip. Customers walking on the Boulevard used to have a hard time finding the front door to the Aladdin Casino. With large overhead video screens and 'Casino Entrance' in bright lights, you can't miss it now. There's also a separate entrance to the 100 plus stores and 15 restaurants in the Miracle Mile Shops.

Always ask for a room with a view of the Strip. That way you can enjoy the dancing fountains of the Bellagio and the spectacular City of Lights at night. PH rooms are spacious and modernized. There are many restaurants to choose from. Planet Dailies offers burgers and fries 24 hours a day. P.F. Chang's, a contemporary Chinese-American fusion is conveniently located on the first floor. Koi, on the second floor is a celebrity favorite with Oriental ambiance that favors creative sushi, rolls and sashimi. Spice Market Buffet offers a variety of cuisines from around the world including Italian, Mexican, Asian, Middle-Eastern and more.

Planet Hollywood Las Vegas is action-packed when it comes to gaming. But you might get distracted with all the beautiful go-go dancers and sexy dealers in the Pleasure Pit. Poker room is open 24 hours and offers free poker lessons every day at 9am. The Race and Sports Book has 33 plasma screens and a full bar with specialty beers.

For entertainment Stomp Out Loud is a drumming and dance extravaganza in the second floor showroom by the same name. The Theater for the Performing Arts is frequented by super famous bands like the Moody Blues and Led Zeppelin. Championship fights take place in the PH Ring. If people-watching is your favorite form of entertainment check out the Heart Bar in the center of the gaming floor at the Planet Hollywood Las Vegas.
