Planet Hollywood Vegas

Planet Hollywood Vegas is a resort and casino with a prime location on the Strip. It was formerly known as the Aladdin Hotel. In 2003 the failing casino was sold to a partnership of Planet Hollywood and Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide. Celebrities like Sylvester Stallone, Pamela Anderson and Bruce Willis also have an interest in the property.

Insider Secret - Timeshare people are in every hotel and they are aggressive. If you don't want to talk to them just give them the thumbs up as you pass. If you want freebies take the tour and receive free buffet and show tickets. Ask for extra goodies.

PH, as it's called, has been renovated with a Los Angeles theme. The Desert Passage Mall associated with the Aladdin has also been remodeled to reflect the Hollywood style theme and is now known as the Miracle Mile Shops. The mall has over 140 stores and 15 restaurants. Trader Vic's and the Hawaiian Tropic Zone have outdoor patios on the Strip which makes for great people watching.

You'll also find entertainment in the mall at the V-Theater including free acrobatic shows. Steve Wyrick's mega-entertainment complex is located near the self-parking area in the mall. His 500 seat theater is home to a variety of afternoon and evening shows. His bar and lounge turn into a 4-level ultra-lounge on weekends making it a hot spot in town.

In the Planet Hollywood Vegas a new showroom for Stomp Out Loud has been built. Watch this exciting troupe of performers drum, dance and put on a high-energy show nightly. The Theater for Performing Arts has concerts and bands such as the Moody Blues and Led Zeppelin.

PH has one of the best locations on the Strip. The Bellagio hotel is across the street, Paris is next door. You can walk to "Project City Center," the Monte Carlo and the MGM Grand to the south. On the north side of the Strip you have easy access to Bally's, the Flamingo, "Imperial Palace", Harrah's and the Mirage.

Planet Hollywood Vegas has many restaurants to choose from. The Spice Market Buffet is the perfect choice when everyone in your party has something different in mind. Planet Dailies is open 24 hours for your favorite fries and burgers. The Earl of Sandwich is for the harty eater with great tasting sandwiches made on artisan breads. Upscale dining is upstairs at Koi for sushi and the Strip House for fine steaks.

For a 180 degree view of the Strip and the Bellagio fountains be sure to ask for a Panorama Suite. With 1,255 square feet, 3 vanity areas, wet bar with refrigerator and living area, you will be in a great room to invite friends to party. Gambling is a pleasure and can be a little distracting at PH. The Pleasure Pit has sexy dealers in chick lingerie and go-go dancers throughout. It's kind of a cross between the Playboy Club at the Palms and the Pussy Cat Dolls at Caesar's Palace. You'll find all the poker, video and slot machines as well as table games you are used to at Planet Hollywood Vegas.
